I’m currently offering school visits that focus on growth mindset, building resilience and creativity, based on the Michael books. My books are packed with humour and heart, and the same is true of my school visits! Keep scrolling to find out what’s included…

Assembly (Small dog, big dreams!)
A 30-45 minute assembly with a focus on building resilience and a growth mindset. Including interactive ‘guess the dog talent’ quiz and author Q&A.
Inspired by Michael, I show kids that you can achieve big things even when you’re small and sometimes it might feel hard. Michael has a rollercoaster ride of successes and failures but with his self-belief and the help of his best friend, Stanley Big Dog he’s able to stay strong and follow his dream.
This assembly is suitable for all full primary school ages.

Creative Workshop – Superstar Pets!
A character creation session where everyone gets to design their own superstar animal and book cover!
First we use a giant squidgy dice to pick different elements for our class character and create a cover together. Then children will come up with their own ideas and design a cover and blurb for their story.
This workshop is most suited to Years 3 and 4.
Plus:
- Worksheets / lesson ideas for follow-up sessions after your school visit
- Doggie bookmarks for everyone in the workshops!
- A chance for kids to have their pics taken with plush Michael – a replica soft toy of Michael complete with spangly waistcoat and bowtie!
A full day visit with me is usually 4 sessions (1 assembly plus 3 workshops or 2 assemblies plus 2 workshops).
Or a half day visit is 2 sessions (1 assembly plus 1 workshop).
Drop me a line on my contact page if you’d like to book me or have questions!
